How many guests does Deichgraf hold?
Deichgraf accommodates 10 to 199 guests. For summer parties in the outdoor area we hold a special permit for up to 350 guests. Conferences take place in the plenary with up to 100 people.
Where exactly is Deichgraf?
Siegburger Straße 161, 40591 Düsseldorf – in Südpark, on the axis between Volksgarten and Südpark, about ten minutes from the city centre. The A46 motorway and public transport stops are close by.
Is there parking?
Yes. There is on-site parking right at the venue and a multi-storey car park within walking distance.
How much does an event at Deichgraf cost?
Every event is quoted individually – based on occasion, date, number of guests, menu selection and technical requirements. Send us those details and you will receive a transparent quote within 24 hours.
Can I bring my own catering?
Catering comes from Deichgraf’s own kitchen – that is how we guarantee freshness and quality. You are welcome to bring your own wine; a corkage fee applies.
What happens in bad weather?
The conservatory closes fully electrically and the indoor rooms are always ready. Your event takes place whatever the weather.
How late can we celebrate?
The venue sits in the park without direct neighbours. An open end is possible by arrangement and is set out in the contract.
Which technology is included?
An integrated sound system, atmospheric lighting, light effects and moving heads as well as a mobile stage. Projector, screen and further equipment are added as required.
How early should I book?
Popular summer and winter dates are often booked twelve months ahead. Ideally enquire as soon as your date is fixed – the enquiry is non-binding.
Can I view the venue beforehand?
Yes. Viewings are possible during office hours Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm, and in the evening by appointment.
Do you offer vegetarian, vegan or organic-regional food?
Yes. All menus and buffets are available vegetarian and vegan; every category also comes in an “organic-regional” version with exclusively regional organic produce.
Are there hotels nearby?
Yes. Several hotels in the area offer room allotments at favourable rates. We are happy to recommend suitable ones.
Is Deichgraf accessible?
The event rooms on the ground floor and the terrace are step-free. Talk to us about special requirements and we will plan the schedule accordingly.
Who is behind Deichgraf?
The operator is First Event GmbH under managing director Tom Rameil. Deichgraf belongs to the Dr. Thompson’s family together with Seifenfabrik, Werkraum, Monberg, Blankenwasser and the Flying Dutchman food trucks.
Weddings
Can the ceremony take place at Deichgraf?
Yes. Free ceremonies are held on the terrace, on the lawn by the water or in the conservatory. For the civil ceremony we recommend the Düsseldorf registry office; we take care of the celebration afterwards.
How many wedding guests can the venue host?
From an intimate celebration with 10 guests to a large wedding with up to 199 guests. For a seated dinner with dance floor, 80 to 140 guests is the ideal size.
How late can we celebrate?
The venue sits in the park without direct neighbours. An open end is possible by arrangement; details are set out in the contract.
Corporate & Christmas parties
What is the minimum group size for a Christmas party?
Around 20 guests. In the winter months up to 199 guests celebrate at the venue; smaller groups use a separate area.
How much does a corporate event cost at Deichgraf?
We quote every party individually – based on date, number of guests, menu selection and technical requirements. You receive a transparent offer within 24 hours.
Can we book entertainment?
Yes. From saxophonists and walking acts to bands, we arrange suitable artists and handle the technical side.
Summer parties
What happens if it rains?
The conservatory closes electrically and the indoor rooms are ready. The schedule stays the same – we just add a roof.
How many guests fit a summer party?
Up to 199 guests as standard. For larger groups of up to 350 we hold a special permit and offer options with sufficient outdoor space.
Are food trucks possible?
Yes. Through our sister brand Flying Dutchman we bring food trucks right to the outdoor area – complementing the street food concept from our own kitchen.
Conferences & presentations
What conference technology is available?
A mobile stage, integrated sound system, atmospheric lighting and moving heads are included. Projector, screen and additional equipment are provided as required.
Is there a conference package?
Yes. The package includes room, basic technology and all-day catering from our own kitchen. Request it with date and number of participants; the quote arrives within 24 hours.
How do we get there?
The venue is close to the city centre with on-site parking, a multi-storey car park within walking distance, public transport and the A46 motorway. Nearby hotels offer room allotments at good rates.
Birthdays & anniversaries
Is there a minimum number of guests?
Private celebrations are possible from around 10 guests. Smaller groups use the conservatory or a separate area.
Can we bring our own decoration?
Yes. We coordinate set-up and timing with you and support you with our own decoration concepts.
Film & photo location
Is the venue available on weekdays during the day?
Yes. Shoots and productions usually take place on weekdays; we check the date and reserve the requested areas.
Is there power and space for equipment?
Yes. There are sufficient power outlets in all areas, on-site parking right at the venue and a delivery area.
